Business community tees off at Parkinson’s NSW Golf Classic

The Cromwell-sponsored Parkinson’s NSW 8th Anniversary Golf Classic has been hailed a major success, raising more than $35,000 for people living with Parkinson’s disease.

The annual event was held on November 13 at the Monash Country Club in Ingleside and attracted 127 registered players and 32 teams.

Cromwell Property Group’s team was crowned the winner of the competition and was presented with golf bags from Battery Golf.  Banjo Advertising placed second, while Just Advice was third.

The Cromwell team included CEO Paul Weightman and Group Treasurer David Gippel, and was accompanied by CBA’s Director of Client Risk Solutions/Global Markets/Institutional Banking and Markets Nick Serra and Director of Institutional Banking and Markets Brent Hinton.

“The Parkinson’s NSW Golf Day was an enormous success and we were proud to be the presenting sponsor this year,” said Cromwell CEO Paul Weightman.

“It was a great opportunity to raise funds and awareness for an organisation that is leading the way in support of Parkinson’s disease. All of the funds raised on the day will help support the facilities and services provided by Parkinson’s NSW.”

Following the competition, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and a presentation from former rugby league player Max Krilich. MC Donnie Sutherland hosted the popular raffle and silent auction.

Other sponsors included: Pebble Beach, Sydney Markets Corporation, Harper Bernays, Banjo Advertising, Doniman and Monash Friends of Parkinson’s.
