Cromwell Property Group Foundation Announces FY21 Beneficiaries

The Cromwell Property Group Foundation (Foundation) has today announced its FY21 beneficiaries, donating $100,000 to three projects that align with its objective to aid causes relevant to the mature aged community.

Cromwell Property Group’s Acting CEO, Michael Wilde, said, “Each year the Foundation receives a number of worthy applications from organisations doing extraordinary work to help improve the lives of our seniors.”

“I would like to acknowledge all of the organisations that submitted a proposal,” said Mr Wilde.

“While it was again a difficult selection process, these projects resonated with the Foundation Board and will make a huge difference to the mature aged community,” he concluded.

The Foundation has donated $50,000 to the second phase of the Intergenerational Project run by MercyCare and Griffith University. The project aims to bring together Australia’s oldest and youngest community members to forge relationships based around mutual activities and strengths. It is underpinned by both scientific research and the wisdom of previous generations.

The second phase of the project is designed to pioneer a co-designed model which will be sustainable and easy to implement and replicate for individuals, care workers and communities. The Foundation donated $75,000 to support the first phase of the project.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Association Australia (TNAA) received $30,000 for its Telehealth Plan. TNAA aims to improve the quality of life of Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) sufferers by ensuring their condition is managed by specialist clinicians who can provide effective treatment. The organisation provides information, support, and encouragement to sufferers and promotes the awareness of the condition to medical and dental professionals to ensure there are no delays in diagnosis.

The Violet Initiative received $20,000 for its Violet Guided Support Programme. The programme advocates for older Australians and helps their families understand their wishes and needs in the last stage of life, helping them make the most of the time they have together. More specifically, the donation will support the delivery of Guided Support to over 50 families in the next year.
